Position: Technical Assistance Center Analyst
This position is responsible for providing technicians with quality resolutions regarding vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair processes. The Technical Assistance Center Analyst is responsible for providing detailed call information to maintenance personnel, including Senior Management. This position is also responsible for keeping a database of “field experts” to utilize as additional resources.
Key Responsibilities:
•Analyze trends in parts costs and identify high-value/high-frequency components impacting fleet maintenance budgets.
•Investigate frequent misdiagnoses and recommend solutions to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce downtime.
•Collect and interpret data to identify patterns in repairs, warranty claims, and part replacement cycles.
•Work closely with technical teams to develop actionable insights from diagnostic and repair data.
•Generate reports and presentations to inform leadership of cost-saving opportunities and quality improvements.
•Assist in the development of best practices for troubleshooting and repair based on data insights.
•Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on minimizing repair costs and enhancing fleet reliability.
•Assist Engineering in reviewing parts quality issues to identify root causes and partner with vendors for continuous improvement.
•Monitor new diagnostic tools and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fleet maintenance operations.
Qualifications:
•At least 15 years of experience in Automotive or Diesel Maintenance (combination of heavy, medium, & light duty vehicle maintenance & repair) with heavy emphasis on modern vehicle on-highway diagnostics and troubleshooting.
•Must hold Master ASE Technician Certification in one of the following Series: A, S, H, or T. A combination of two or more ASE Master Certifications is preferred.
•Associate's degree in automotive, or Heavy-Duty Equipment maintenance is preferred but not required.
•Electric Vehicle Experience a plus (not required).
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel).
•Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
•Ability to exercise considerable diplomacy, judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external customers as well as any company departments.
•Proven ability to exercise positive and effective customer service skills.
•Must have solid interpersonal skills, be empathetic, and possess good listening skills.
•Must have the ability to make sound technical decisions.
•Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
•Working knowledge of United States and Canadian geography required.
•Ability to work normal business hours and occasional evening or holiday.
•Work from home office, or office near existing shop location.
•Up to 10% North American trips. May be requested to attend Maintenance Meetings and present information on the program.
