Position: Shop ManagerLocation Coverage: Dover, Somersworth, Rollinsford, and surrounding areas
Salary Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Manager to lead maintenance operations for a multi-location fleet. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance activities, supervising shop personnel, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee scheduling and execution of fleet maintenance and repair operations
Provide leadership and supervision to maintenance staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions
Communicate vehicle availability with dispatch and operational personnel to ensure service reliability
Monitor shop performance and collaborate with the Location Manager and Regional Maintenance team on operational and budgetary needs
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations and maintenance standards
Review and approve repair orders, manage parts inventory, and coordinate subcontracted repair work when necessary
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with necessary endorsements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on mechanical supervisory experience
Experience with diesel engines and school bus equipment strongly preferred
Ability to lift 20–50 lbs as needed
Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
Computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management systems
