- Job Description Summary Assists with the Human Resource functions for the Para-transit operations center.
- Major Responsibilities
- Consulting with the employer and identifying employment needs
- Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience and education
- Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants
- Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties
- Hiring or referring qualified applicants for the employer
- Conducting or helping with new employee orientation
- Keeping process paperwork and employment records
Minimum Education or Certifications Required- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
Minimum Experience or Skills Required- Confidentiality and discretion required; excellent verbal and interpersonal skills; excellent judgment and problem solving skills, particularly in personnel management; strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software; strong attention to detail; minimum one year experience in a payroll environment
- Problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to verbally communicate with passengers, Drivers, Dispatchers and Road Supervisors including use of a 2-way radio and PA system effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, management, client representatives, union officials, and public.
- Work extended hours regularly, including weekends and holidays to meet the business needs.
- Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
