First Student is now hiring a Utility Worker for our shop serving WCCU School District!

As a Utility Worker with First Student, major job duties include:

  • Perform servicing tasks cleaning of filters.
  • Replaces bulbs.
  • Lubricates equipment.
  • Removes wheels and tires.
  • Changes fluids in buses.
  • Any other maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Repairs floors , seat backs, and coverings
  • Replace mirrors and some exterior panels
  • Add and remove decals
     

Utility Worker Qualifications 

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess a small set of hand tools, increasing as training progresses
  • Ability to learn and perfect maintenance skills
  • Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
