Description
Acquires client relationships through networking, consultative selling, delivering product and administering client support for the Employee Benefits program. Responsible for direct selling, supporting sales activities by licensed bankers and FCIA specialists, and servicing the assigned products lines offered by the Employee Benefits Unit within a defined market territory. Also may provide support for designated personnel who also sell and service FCIA products within the defined market territory.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Create internal and external centers of influence.
2. Identify and meet weekly with new prospects.
3. Meet with existing clients as indicated in company service agreements.
4. Analyze existing benefit design of prospects and clients to determine solutions.
5. Develop recommendations for company leaders regarding benefit changes.
6. Maintain awareness of Federal and State regulations that affect a client's EB program.
7. Educate employees on how to maximize their use of the company benefits plan
8. Understand all funding arrangements in medical insurance designs, i.e. self-funding, HRA and fully-insured programs
9. Fully understand all EB products including Medical, Disability, Life, Dental, Vision, Voluntary, Cobra Admin, Flexible Spending Accounts.
10. Prospecting and identifying new opportunities to meet the necessary activity goals.
11. Reports weekly activity numbers to Product Manager and maintains an up-to-date pipeline of active prospects.
12. Meets with and maintains contact with various insurance carrier representatives.
13. Attend periodic training and regional team meetings with the Product Manager and/or affiliate partners.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field as well as three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience is preferred.
2. Two (2) to four (4) years of Sales or related experience in Employee Benefits.
3. PA Life, Accident & Health Licenses are necessary.
4. A valid driver's license is required for occasional regional travel.
5. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
