As a Loan Originations Specialist, your primary responsibility is to represent First Commonwealth Bank in a positive, professional, and personal manner while performing tasks necessary in being the key support role for preparing and processing Consumer, Business Banking, SBA and Mortgage Loan Documents within the government mandated time frame. Processes error free loan disclosures in a timely manner; communicates with Loan Originations Team, Financial Service Centers(FSC) and Underwriting on pending closing issues. Examines closed loan files for completeness and accuracy, adheres to lending policy, resolves discrepancies, validates loans updated to core system or applicable interface and organizes files. Support the Disbursement of Funds on all closed loans accurately and according to government mandated time frames, following through on all disbursements to accurate and complete resolution. Completes the filing of mortgages for all real estate secured loans with applicable county. Processes loan maintenance as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Act as key support role in preparing and processing error free loan disclosures within the government mandated time frames.
2. Examine closed loan files for completeness and accuracy, adhering to lending policy. This includes the validation of loan rates, required loan documents, complete signatures, and any other requirements of the closed loan package. Validate all applicable fees including dealer reserve are assessed/paid, and loans are uploaded to core system accurately. Report and resolve all discrepancies as needed.
3. Disburse funds on all closed loans accurately, according to government mandated time frames, and according to the Loan Disbursement Request and Authorization form. Provide written instruction for each disbursement, where needed, to ensure customer trade lines and mortgage/liens are satisfied per loan requirements. Follow through on all disbursements to accurate and complete resolution.
4. Handle routine correspondence, whether by writing or telephoning a response or re-directing, matter to proper parties to expedite handling.
5. Complete the filing of mortgages for all real estate secured loans with applicable county. Perform appropriate follow-up on missing or erroneous items so that a clean and error free file is presented to LIFT.
6. Coordinate the inflow of the paper mail in a timely manner.
7. Handle requests for assistance concerning loan processing and disbursements.
8. Serve as a liaison between Loan Processing, FSC's and the Underwriting officers to assist in the resolution of closing, loan upload or disbursement issues.
9. Maintain working knowledge of Lending Policy and Government Lending Regulations utilizing Regulatory University and Compliance seminars and workshops.
10. Examine the closing files for adherence to Bank Lending Policy and Lending Regulations.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Two (2) years of directly related experience within the Financial Services industry is preferred.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required.
3. Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills, analytical and mathematical skills. Proficient computer skills and ability to learn company utilized systems is required.
4. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
