The position has high visibility with the investment community and requires an in-depth understanding of current economic, regulatory and legislative developments that may affect the financial services industry. Advises Executive members of management on critical financial decisions impacting future operating results and financial stability of the company. Key advisor on complex capital and corporate finance decisions including development and implementation of the company's budget, strategic plan, common equity raises and various types of debt issuance. Manages the strategic focus, development and implementation of the investor relations program. Facilitates investor conferences, road-shows (both deal and non-deal), earnings releases and M&A conference calls, including the preparation or review of PowerPoint presentations and transcripts. Advises Executive management on public relations/industry issues, contributing to the planning of external communications with shareholders.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Investor Relations
1. Assists in the strategic focus, development and implementation of the investor relations program; ensuring a consistent corporate image and message is being presented to current and potential shareholders, analysts, clients and employees.
2. Facilitates investor conferences, road-shows (both deal and non-deal), earnings releases and M&A conference calls, including the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and review of Executive transcripts.
3. Develops, produces and coordinates investor presentations given by members of Executive management.
4. Assists with writing and validating investor-related scripts.
5. Advises Executive management on public relations/industry issues, contributing to the planning of external communications with shareholders.
6. Assists with the writing of quarterly earnings releases, conference call scripts and Q&A's.
7. Assists in developing and articulating the Company's business strategy, goals and financial results to the investment community through various media outlets.
8. On a quarterly basis, reports on the composition of FCF's shareholder base, stock performance and any events or developments regarding the investor relations function to the Board of Directors.
Corporate Finance
9. Assists in managing the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
10. Supports the development and execution of the annual budgeting and strategic planning process.
11. Partners with teams across the organization to streamline processes, enhance financial discipline, and support ad-hoc projects as needed.
12. Ensures accuracy and integrity of financial data used in strategic decision-making.
13. Assists Executive members of management on critical financial decisions impacting future operating results and financial stability of the company.
14. Researches the development of the company's peer reviews and performance analyses and presents recommendations and identifies area that need investigation.
15. Manages market research function of the company to provide top levels of management with industry trends and consumer behaviors impacting the company's short and long-term business plans.
16. Directs presentations and processes for monthly, quarterly and annual review and analysis of the Company's financial performance to the Board of Directors.
17. Identifies opportunities and assesses risks to improve functionality of the FP&A department.
18. Maintains a high degree of knowledge and understanding regarding economic, regulatory and legislative developments that may affect any of the company's business units
19. Gathers and analyzes specific industry and peer data to deliver strategic perspectives and opinions in a concisely and substantiated manner to members of Executive management.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience are required. CFA/CPA/MBA preferred, but not required.
2. Merger and acquisition experience required, preferable within the financial services industry.
3. Advanced knowledge of SEC reporting and analysis of financial institution regulatory filings is required.
4. Highly developed understanding of capital markets and buy/sell side investment community.
5. Must be able to effectively develop lines of communication with members of Senior, Executive and Board levels of management.
6. Proficient computer skills and an advanced understanding of various accounting and finance software programs. A mastery application of MS Excel and PowerPoint is also required.
7. Ability to complete multiple complex projects independently as well as in a collegial team environment.
8. Ability to design and implement advanced spreadsheet models including complex formulas and functions.
9. Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematical skills; excellent research capability; impeccable communicative and interpersonal relations skills.
10. May be eligible for Telecommuting.
