Description

Operates computer equipment and monitors production activities according to predefined procedures. Process workload according to pre-defined procedures; maintain computer room/building security; maintain production processing cycles and tape library records; and maintain service backups. Provides assistance and guidance to operator trainees as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Polices procedures in effect and reports any violations to Systems Services.

2. Monitors security of data center and the building according to defined security procedures.

3. Files incident reports accurately and timely when required.

4. Constantly verifies that established production checkpoint procedures are followed.

5. Produces microfiche and distributes reports accurately and timely.

6. Maintains good communication with staff operating the sorter and printer.

7. On-call for Systems Services 24x7.

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

1. Requires high school diploma or equivalent.

2. One (1) year of previous experience preferred.

3. Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematical skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills.

4. Moderate computer skills and knowledge of software systems required.
