RVT or Senior Veterinary Assistant- Emergency- SAGE San Francisco

About the job:
Duties you will own in this role:

  • Triage incoming patients
  • Monitor critical and fractious patients
  • Administer treatments and medications
  • Assist with diagnostic tests
  • Aid in emergency procedures
  • Ensure patient comfort
  • Communicate with pet owners
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Document patient care
  • Engage in ongoing education and training
Compensation Range for this role is based on location, skill, and education RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 with $8,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees
SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 with $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for new full-time employees

Work Schedule:
  • Various shifts available- days, swings, overnights. $5 differential for overnight shifts
  • Full-Time
  • 4/10 schedule

Basic Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
  • CA RVT license preferred but not required
