Length: 13 Weeks
Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.Must be available to work holidays
Requirements:

• CA license
• 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience
• BLS
• PALS
• PEDS Cardiac experience
• Heart transplant experience
• Must be cardiac trained
• Experience in Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation
• Previous children's hospital/cardiac experience
• Electronic Documentation required

Unit Accepts 1st time TravelerWilling to float between unitsFlu shot required
Other Details:

DON'T SUBMIT IF TRAVELER DOES NOT HAVE PEDS EXPERIENCE. Okay to submit if not within a dedicated Childrens facility.
**RN MUST HAVE CA LICENSE IN HAND OR PENDING WITH ETAs of when it will post**

Traveler could be floated to every unit except OR, PACU and ED. The units include PICU, NICU, medical, surgical, hem/onc, medical behavioral unit. They have, on rare occasion.
Shifts: (discussed in interview)• 3x12 variable or straight night shifts, 36x48 available• Weekend Requirements: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. For night shift it is any combination of Fri/Sat nights and for day shift it is Sat/Sun.• 13 week contracts
Requested Time Off:6 days total (must still get 3 shifts in week)Must be available to work holidays*Self scheduling!
Ratio:1:1-2
Unit Summary: 30-37 beds. Seeing post op cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's and ECMO. Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Patients can range from neonatal up to 23.
