Our Property & Casualty Brokers & Account Executives provide a high-quality service to our clients. They work to ensure satisfaction by balancing the quality of service and speed of response.
In this role, the Broker:
Markets renewals and new business.
Evaluates existing coverages and makes recommendations as needed.
Supports due diligence activities for existing and prospective clients.
Rounds out accounts as opportunities arise.
Maintains a committed relationship with the underwriting community, particularly in the M&A space would be a plus.
Negotiates with underwriters to provide the best possible coverage and rates according to underwriting guidelines.
Receives, reviews and forwards invoices, policies, endorsements, and other documents, as necessary.
Markets specialized coverages as needed.
Authorizes the release of Certificates of Insurance, Binders, and all post placement documentation.
Audits policies for compliance with internal procedures.
Prepares proposals for clients and potential clients.
Visits clients as necessary to ensure client satisfaction.
This role is hybrid, we are in the office 2 to 3 days a week.
This role is responsible for, although not limited to, the following job duties:
Managing the account life cycle: pre-renewal, renewal, post renewal, stewardship and visiting client as needed.
Working with team members at all levels to ensure client satisfaction. Pro-actively addressing client issues by immediately addressing matters impacting customer satisfaction as they arise.
Managing and growing underwriter relationships to ensure understanding of goals and expectations.
Managing daily account transactions including additions/deletions of vehicles, property acquisitions, exposure changes, contract reviews, coverage analysis and program recommendations with intensive client interaction.
Submission of renewal business to various markets and maintaining a productive relationship with insurance company underwriters and staff.
Working with team members to execute all renewals in a timely manner.
Generation of accurate renewal submission, proposals, and timely handling of surplus lines filings.
Policy Administration: Checking policies, coverage analysis, checking endorsements and due diligence review for clients during mergers and acquisitions; and policy audits.
Seek out new business through referrals, cross-selling and account rounding.
Effectively manage preparation and production of all elements of presentations for client meetings.
Properly represent the company when attending client meetings, addressing client questions, and identifying next steps as appropriate.
Benchmarking client programs (as needed) and presenting quotes to clients including recommendations for enhancing the insurance program.
Provide status progress reports to managers and clients.
Complete weekly Account Renewal Status update reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in insurance or related field preferred.
New Jersey or New York P&C license.
7-10 years of brokerage experience as a P&C Broker.
Knowledge of general liability, workers' compensation, property, automobile liability, umbrella liability and related lines of coverage.
Experience with Private Equity is a must.
Knowledge of the insurance carriers risk appetite and industry preferences.
Ability to develop innovative and customized business solutions.
Ability to communicate professionally and with confidence to C-Suite in various industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills including MS office suite, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience on Sagitta systems preferred.

The salary range for this role is $190,000 to $230,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
