Description
ENSCO is seeking an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command's MILSATCOM Program through the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract. This position, located in El Segundo, CA, will support a diverse set of strategic MILSATCOM systems and infrastructure in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
Duties include:
- Support the MSEIT System Safety Government Team by evaluating ESOH risks identified by the government, contractors, or other stakeholders, preparing ESOH documents and providing system safety support for Space Flight Worthiness certification
- Document, perform, and execute changes to Government System Safety documents
- Review and participate in government evaluations of contractor documentation to hazard analyses, mitigation strategies, and safety assessments, as well as advise the government team
- Perform safety risk assessments in accordance with MSEIT Program and Space Force guidance documents and prepare safety risk assessments for acceptance or for further mitigation
- Prepare documents including but not limited to: Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and Space Debris Assessment Report/End of Life Plan for space vehicles
- Prepare and support the System Safety elements of the space vehicle Space Flight Worthiness certification
- Collaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force
Qualifications
- BS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
- MS degree
- Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
- Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
- Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
- Experience working with military and DoD civilian clients
- Experience and familiarity experience working on a government space systems program
- Experience working on a Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) contract
- Active Secret Clearance or higher
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years' experience in systems engineering
- 1+ years' experience in Systems Safety engineering, to include System Safety Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures and working with System Safety military standards and regulations
- Ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders and customers
- Strong interpersonal skills to enable working and interfacing with diverse personnel and working in a dynamic team environment
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Security Clearance: MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO ACQUIRE A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT.
