Description

The Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and clients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience. This role involves managing the front desk, handling phone calls, greeting guests, and performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the office.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and presentable
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and conference room bookings
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry and maintaining office supplies
  • Provide general information to visitors and clients about the company
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and operations
  • Assist in planning and organizing office events and meetings
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties as needed


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus
  • 3-5 years proven work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., copy machines, phone systems and printers)
  • Customer service experience, ability to maintain a professional demeanor. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a professional office environment.
The role may require prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
Occasional lifting of office supplies and equipment.

Division Description

Located just outside of Washington D.C. in Springfield, Va., our corporate headquarters location is home to the CEO and President, the Finance Division, the Human Resources Division, and the Corporate Communications Division.
