JOB SUMMARY

The Senior IT Support Analyst is responsible for project management of technical projects and coaching/mentoring other support analysts on complex projects/issues.   The Senior IT Support Analyst coordinates and assists the team lead to make sure projects are on track and team members are assigned tasks. 

 

Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm 

Location: Englewood, NJ 

Department: Information Technology 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Operate as the subject matter expert regarding technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies. 

  • Validate all new hardware and systems configurations to ensure compliance with approved standards and guidelines. 

  • Primary subject matter and contact for assigned desktop applications. 

  • End user device patch management, including deployment and testing. 

  • Perform connections and network cable management. 

  • Configure and update network port security. 

  • Operate as technical expert for addressing issues and responsible for problem management and root cause analysis. 

  • Provide end users support and training on computers, desktop applications and other peripherals. 

  • Supports all versions of computer operating systems, Microsoft Office and other workstation-based applications. 

  • Responsible for developing procedures to support Windows operating systems and standard corporate hardware. 

  • Act as first contact for problem resolution and support for all team members 

  • Works with diagnostic utilities to optimize hardware performance. 

  • Works with IT personnel and end users to resolve complex issues involving multiple technical platforms. 

  • Provide hardware support, including computers, printers, and other peripherals. 

  • Maintains inventory of hardware and assures adequate stock is in place. 

  • Project management work as delegated by IT Management. 

  • Evaluates end user needs, coordinates the purchase and installation for PC hardware/software applications. 

  • Mentor junior members of the team to support the above activities.   

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 

  • Excellent experience with desktop applications, including Windows, MS Office and SharePoint O365.  

  • 2+ years of experience providing IT support in a hospital or healthcare environment. 

  • 2+ years of experience with desktop imaging solutions 

  • 2+ years of project management, system implementation and support  

  • 2+ years' experience working with anti-virus programs, memory management and other diagnostic utilities.  

  • 2+ years of experience with application deployment. 

  • 2+ years hands-on experience working with desktop, laptops, printers, scanners, signature pads, mobile devices, faxes, DVD-ROM and other IT hardware. 

  • 2+ years of experience working with Wyse clients, Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop applications. 

  • 1+ year of experience with LAN and WAN troubleshooting and support. 

  • High School degree required, BA/BS Degree preferred 

  • Stay current on technology topics and pursue opportunities to expand knowledge. 

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and problem solver. 

  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts, learn new technology thoroughly and successfully apply it. 

  • Strong project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan). 

  • Understanding of HIPAA and potential risk exposer for failure to comply. 

  • Must be able to work beyond normal business hours. 

  • Participate in On-Call rotations including some weekends and holidays. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Normal office conditions and/or in data center rooms with temperatures of at least 68° F 

  • Heavy lifting; up to 50lbs 

  • Occasional nights and weekends as situations dictate 

  • Travel to off-site offices and data centers as necessary 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 

  • Reports to the IT Manger/Director.
