Description
The Patient Safety & Risk Manager is responsible for supervising Coordinator Risk Management. And overseeing and facilitating clinical improvement initiatives and guiding the development, ongoing review and implementation of evidence-based improvement initiatives. Oversees, facilitate and support multi-disciplinary teams to achieve clinical performance improvement goals and objectives. Responsible for assisting with the coordination of the facility's patient safety, legal and risk management activities.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Professional Nurse License, Bachelor of Science in nursing required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Previous proven experience and expertise in risk management position commensurate with the demands of the position (3 - 5 years preferred).
- CPHQ certification or willing to complete within 1 year of employment.
- Working knowledge of Patient Safety, Performance Improvement (PDSA, Rapid Cycle Change, RCA, and FMEA), Joint Commission Standards, NJDOH Regulations, Legal Affairs and Risk Management.
