Job Summary:
Supervises security officers who protect EHMC property such as hospital, parking lots and garages, storage or other Medical Center buildings, facilities and installations from fire, theft, vandalism and illegal/unauthorized entry and protects persons therein from harm as well as other related duties. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards in all interactions and nurtures same in staff. Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the Security Department. Manage staff for optimum performance.

Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm

 

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the safeguarding of property and/or persons.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the safeguarding of property and/or persons. Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in any state, but preferably New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
  • Knowledge of procedures used in prosecuting violators.
  • Knowledge of problems involved in safeguarding persons, large areas including buildings/grounds, and properties.
  • Knowledge of security (including fire safety) requirements established by EHMC. Knowledge of protective devices, facilities, procedures, and methods.
  • Knowledge of EHMC fire system and usage of fire panels.
  • Knowledge of principles, administration, practices, and techniques of protective security.
  • Knowledge of problems involved in organizing assigned field and office work, developing effective work methods conforming to prescribed procedures, and of regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of EHMC.
  • Knowledge of problems and operations used in controlling traffic, personnel management techniques and investigative procedures.
  • Knowledge of all EHMC security dispatcher functions and the ability to serve in that function during an emergency.
  • Knowledge of CCTV: Victor, Network Client and Avigilon.
  • Knowledge of C-Cure Card Access System.
  • Knowledge of the EHMC ID Badging process and system.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

 

License/Certification/Registry:

  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in any state, but preferably New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
