Under the direction of the Director of Employee and Labor Relations, the Employee Relations Manager will serve as the initial point of contact for all matters pertaining to employee relations issues and concerns. The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for providing support and direction to hospital leaders on the consistent deployment of employee relations policies and procedures as well as monitor consistent application of policies and procedures. The Employee Relations Manager will assist the Director of Employee and Labor relations by providing them with comprehensive intake reports, assembling data with proper analysis, establishing relationships with staff and leaders and providing draft grievance responses and recommendations regarding collective bargaining agreements.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • Minimum of three (3) years' employee relations experience required.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success establishing and maintaining credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to collaborate effectively with others to diagnose and resolve workplace issues.
  • Ability to research and understand confidential materials/issues, salary information, organizational data, and performance reviews.
  • Basic knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
