We have an exciting opportunity to support Englewood Health's digital transformation strategy. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Manager of Digital Applications oversees and coordinates the selection, planning, development, implementation, and support of technology implementations for digital transformation projects. As the IT Digital Lead, manages the application development lifecycle for platform-based software implementations and coordinates IT applications; works directly with IT managers and team members to ensure successful implementations. Serves as the IT liaison to Digital Transformation leader and key operational and clinical stakeholders across the enterprise; and standing member of governance groups (e.g., digital steering committee and digital portfolio committee) to coordinate and manage technology-enablement needs, issues or escalations. Ensures consistency in policies, standards, procedures, and processes across all applications while planning in an integrated environment. The ideal candidate must be experienced in various system development tools and techniques, understands the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches, develops aligned strategies, and thrives in a dynamic environment, with autonomy and accountability for delivering IT products and solutions.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience required; four (4) years of recent experience in healthcare related field and/or business applications and information technology.
  • Minimum of four (4) years prior experience working with Epic EMR, preferably Ambulatory and MyChart (patient portal) applications preferred
  • Ability to facilitate and implement architecture, design and development efforts for applications required
  • General IT planning, implementation background and extensive experience with applications and systems required
  • Proficiency with standard digital project management tools and methodologies required
  • Knowledge and experience procuring, designing, implementing and delivering digital healthcare application tools and technologies, including digital front doors, patient communications, virtual triage, telemedicine, chatbot, appointment scheduling, etc.
  • Prior experience with AI based tools and solutions preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of new technologies and ability to make recommendations on the implementation of new technologies.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the industry, regulatory trends, and developments for enterprise technology.
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of hardware, operating systems, applications, operational analysis and protocols
  • Ability to develop, negotiate and oversee IT contracts to ensure EH is favorably represented.
  • Knowledge of financial operations, budget development and administration, budget preparation and analysis required
  • Ability to facilitate project planning meetings to articulate project components and deliverables with high-level audiences
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a diverse team and exceptional conflict resolution skills required
  • Effective communicator and ability to serve as a change agent required
  • Must be results-driven, with the ability to address roadblocks and meet project deadlines required

 

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Public Health, Health Information Technology, Informatics, Nursing or a related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
