Job Summary:
Directs the Campus-Wide Safety & Security Department by maintaining and facilitating smooth departmental operations, pursuant to Medical Center and Departmental Policy/Procedures and Federal/State/Local Laws. Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the Security Department. Manage staff for optimum performance.

Shift: 8 hour days
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

 

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • 10 years in Law Enforcement with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or administrative position or 10 or more years of progressive, responsible security/safety experience, including 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Possess expert knowledge in the areas of Federal/State/Local Law as they pertain to safety/security issues and related matters.
  • Possess strong investigative and report writing skills.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and possess strong management skills in the execution of all duties and responsibilities.
  • Possess sound leadership, human relations and good communication skills essential to effective interactions with all levels of management and the Medical staff.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in traffic safety and traffic control.

 

Educational Requirement:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

 

License/Certification/Registry (1 or more):

  • Certified Protection Practitioner (CPP)
  • Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA)
  • Certified Crime Prevention Practitioner
