Job Summary:
Under general supervision, coordinates billing functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and maximum financial return; ensures third party billing compliance; maintains knowledge of third party billing procedures, billing codes, rules, and regulations; audits medical documents; serves as resource to faculty and staff. Department:Physician Integration
Location: 375 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ HYBRID
Status: Full time
Shift: 8 hours
Hours: 9a-5p variable (80% remote, 1 day in the office)
Job Essentials: 3 years medical billing preferred. Strong knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT procedure codes and modifiers. Solid knowledge of working holds, denials and follow-up on insurance claims. Strong communication, follow up and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of anatomy &physiology, med terminology. Experience with EPIC and Athena preferred.
Education Requirements: HS Diploma/GED required.
Certifications: Certified Medical Billing Certificate preferred.
