Job Details
• PCU nurse position available.

Job Requirements
• 1 year experience in specialty min.
• EKG exam - must pass during orientation
• Must read and interpret strips
• Neuro exp
• NC or compact exp

Schedule Information
• Contract length of 91 days
• 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6 week schedule
• No blocked scheduling
• ALL RTO must be given prior to assignment confirmation

Unit Specific Information
• Ratio: 1:4 or 5 depending on acuity
• Skills that will be utilized are NIHSS, Lumbar puncture assistance, arterial lines, central lines, tracheotomy patients, lumbar drains, IV start skills, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, various intravenous drips i.e., cardiac, insulin, heparin, and cardiac monitoring.
• Stroke (Ischemic/Hemorrhagic), Seizure, Brain Tumor, Complex Neuro-spine surgery, SAH/SDH, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre, Encephalopathy, Laminectomies, Transverse Myelitis.

Additional Details
• The population will include but is not limited to:
• Acute Stroke management (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH, etc.)
• Post Neuro-surgical management (craniotomy, ventriculostomy, complex neuro-spine)
• Seizure management (epilepsy, post-ictal and pseudo-seizures)
• (Multiple Sclerosis)
• (Guillain-Barre)
