Job Summary:

The AP/AR Specialist is responsible for managing the timely and accurate application of customer and vendor payments. Monitors and records incoming payments. Also researches and resolves issues related to payment transactions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Verifies and reconciles daily deposits
• Performs research on accounts as needed
• Posts and reconciles payment corrections after ensuring complete and accurate documentation
• Monitoring of incoming payments and ensuring they are applied correctly
• Records customer and vendor payments into the Company's ERP systems
• Reconciles cash drawers daily
• Timely processing of AR receivables invoices and collections of outstanding receivables
• Posts and reconciles payment corrections after ensuring complete and accurate documentation
• Researches unidentified checks in the GL
• Prepare JEs for non-customer cash deposits
• Receive invoices, verify accuracy of information throughout our different systems 
• Enter invoices into Accounts Payable systems 
• Approve payment batches 
• Maintain and file all appropriate documentation 
• Reconcile Vendor Statements 
• Perform other related duties as assigned 

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize/re-prioritize multiple projects and/or deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent experience will also be considered (3-4 years)
• 1+ year of relevant experience
• Proficient in 10 key by touch
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with basic Excel skills
