Company Overview:
The Director of Core Business Technology will be required to keep abreast of emerging technology trends with Oracle and Google Cloud with respect to applications in the ERP and HCM to determine recommendations for Dollar General during the Oracle Implementation journey. The position will directly manage and supervise the modernization of HR & Financial Systems from old ERP to Oracle ERP & HCM modules. This position will be responsible for management of multiple projects and problems with different levels of complexity around ERP & HCM implementation. The position will be required to partner with internal technology teams, external vendors, contractors, and off-shore teams.
Job Details:
§ Owns ERP, HCM tech migration roadmaps and reporting on them as well as collaboration with technology leaders and business product managers for delivery & timelines as well as supporting other domain requests that need HR/Financial data.
§ Engineering of application architecture reviews and advisory board space with technology inclusive of data science and devsecops, and secure solutions in addition to vendor solutions
§ Evaluate, improve, and implement engineering excellence processes across teams or functional area to advance modernization efforts through new tech stacks, artificial intelligence, security
§ Manage vendor relationships by influencing and negotiating work arrangements that maintain cost/performance balance.
Qualifications:§ Direct management of technical, product as well as manager level staff
§ Demonstrate in-depth expertise in the design, development, implementation, diagnosis, or repair of technology solutions in ERP and HCM domains.
§ Experience with hardware, software, models, methods, and other technology-based intellectual property.
§ Provided full lifecycle cost estimates, domain specific support services
§ Excellent Technology skills and the ability to lead multiple projects of increasing complexity from inception through completion. Projects may include complex cross product integrations.
§ Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively write. Tactful and diplomatic when required.
§ Ability to motivate, reward, and provide constructive criticism and corrective action.
§ Ability to teach, mentor and enhance skills of staff from entry level through leadership.
§ Ability to set goals, evaluate and measure performance, and provide informal and formal feedback on performance.
§ Ability to delegate and achieve desired results from direct reports and provide accountability at an individual, team and departmental level.
- 12+ or more years of IT related experience required, with a software development or related technical background.
- Prior experience in leading groups of 10 or more people, with at least 8 direct reports.
- 12+ years of open systems tech stacks with modernization scope.
- 8+ years of design inclusive of scalability, disaster recovery, resiliency, obsolescence security, supportability, and suitability.
- 5+ years experience with Oracle ERP Tech Integrations.
- 5+ years in cloud development experience with Oracle and Google.
5+ years experience working with Product management tools.
