As an Emergency Department Supervisor, you will play a key role supervising and guiding our dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of patient care. You will be responsible for leading daily operations, supporting clinical and ancillary staff, and driving continuous improvement within our emergency department.
We are seeking candidates that have experience supervising and leading a team, as well as broad knowledge of professional nursing practices and current issues in the field.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Supervision: Lead, supervise, and influence the daily operational activities of the nursing unit, ensuring smooth coordination and operation.
Operations Support: Supervise and coordinate daily operational activities within the unit.
Hiring and Recruitment: Assist with hiring and recruitment efforts, including application review and interviewing.
Team Management: Oversee direct reports, including scheduling, timecards, annual evaluations, and ongoing performance management. Also provide scheduling support for ancillary staff.
Clinical Support: Provide support to clinical staff on Mid and Noc shifts.
Leadership Participation: Take part in unit-based council leadership and support initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
On-Call Duties: Rotate on-call responsibilities, responding to emergency situations, maintenance issues, or staffing needs requiring coverage.

SCHEDULE:
- Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed for on-call responsibilities
- Afternoon/evening hours, as this role will support mid and noc shifts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 Years of Experience
California RN License
BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA)
PALS Provider (AHA)
Advance Cardiac Life Support (AHA) within 12 months of hire
Must be a team member on the department/unit for which candidate is applying or have prior leadership experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Bilingual Spanish
The expected hiring range for this position is $70.96 to $97.57.
