Are you passionate about leading and educating in a dynamic emergency department? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Emergency Department Supervisor/Nurse Educator to join our team!

As a key member of the ED leadership team, you'll collaborate with supervisors, educators, and CNS peers to ensure our unit's educational needs are met. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high-quality patient care and adhering to regulatory standards. You'll also actively participate in hospital committees focused on clinical education, stay updated on the latest nursing advancements and best practices, and serve as a role model for professional nursing practice.

We are seeking candidates that have experience delivering clinical nursing education and training for orientation and skills/competency development, and have broad knowledge of professional nursing practices and current issues in the field.

Key responsibilities include:

Clinical Support: Provide clinical support to all team members, with a primary focus on Mid and Noc shifts.

Team Management: Oversee direct reports, including scheduling, timecards, annual evaluations, and ongoing performance management.

Educational Support: Assist with new hire onboarding, continuing education, and unit skills and competencies.

Leadership Participation: Take part in unit-based council leadership.

Safety and Communication: Follow up on safety reports and update the ED Intranet/SharePoint site.

On-Call Duties: Rotate on-call responsibilities, responding to emergency situations, maintenance issues, or staffing needs requiring coverage.

SCHEDULE

- Monday to Friday, with some flexibility needed for on-call responsibilities

- Afternoon/evening hours, as this role will support mid and noc shifts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Five years of clinical experience

Current California RN license

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

At least one year of previous experience as a preceptor

Current PALS certification

ACLS certification within 12 months of hire

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

Two years of previous clinical education experience

The expected hiring range for this position is $70.96 to $97.57.
