Join our passionate team at the Children's Health Center in Westwood! In this dynamic role, you will deliver world-class outpatient primary and specialty care to children of all ages. You'll be at the forefront of patient care, working in a team environment to ensure every patient receives exceptional service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Record and monitor patient vitals and medical history

Conduct venipuncture and blood draws with precision

Perform EKGs

Administer tests and medications (including PO, IM, SQ, PR, Intradermal, Topical, Inhalants, Eye drops, and Ear drops)

Collect and manage patient specimens accurately

Assist in performing pediatric procedures

Maintain clean and well-stocked patient rooms

Salary Range: $34.61-45.66 Hourly

This is a full-time position eligible for full benefits. Qualifications

Required:

Expertise, skills and knowledge in working with pediatric patients.

2-3 years of experience as an LVN in an ambulatory care or community setting.

Current LVN license issued by the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing Examiners with blood withdrawal and IV certification.

BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures.

Excellent blood withdrawal and IV skills.

Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.

Skill in administering oral, intradermal, intramuscular, subcutaneous and intravenous medication, as ordered by physician and record into patient's chart.

Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.

Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.

Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.

Performs phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice.

Ability to effectively elicit salient clinical information such as presenting complaints from patients and referring professional, and make appropriate assignments based on established guidelines.

Ability to accept direction from administration and act promptly.

Skill in listening perceptively, conveying awareness and responding to patients and parents with health concerns using tact and discretion.

Skill in inventory control to maintain adequate supplies and equipment.

Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.

Preferred:

Knowledge and familiarity with the electronic health record (EPIC).

Bilingual in Spanish.
