System Float RN is an expert member of the System-wide Float Pool possessing exemplary care skills and knowledge with professionalism, cooperation and accountability. Organizes and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy,
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking experienced RNs to join our Emergency Department System-Wide Float Pool. In this role, RNs have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad scope of patient care within the Emergency Department specialty while working assignments at each of the sites throughout our system. The RN's support the team and the patients at each site for an average of three months per assignment. There are opportunities available to float regionally (to the northern or the southern region sites) or to float throughout the entire RWJBH system.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of emergency department experience in a hospital setting.
Demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing
Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current New Jersey RN licensure required.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Excellent communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrated ability to be an effective role model to others.
Flexibility and adaptability is essential in meeting System staffing needs as required.
Travel required to various hospital-based facilities within RWJBarnabas Health.
Average site assignment is three (3) month (less or more). Assignment length will be based upon facility need.
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
Preferred:
CEN strongly preferred
BSN strongly preferred
TNCC/ENPC preferred.
Scheduling Requirements:
Three 12-hour shifts per week
