*This is a Full Time benefitted Salary role. The hours are generally 8 hour shifts that start at 6:30am Monday- Friday. Location is at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. No weekends, call or holidays! Includes incentives up to $8.5K for eligible new hires. This role qualifies for the Supervisor yearly compensation incentive plan.*

Join our leadership team supporting Ambulatory Surgery Clinic Patient Care Operations. You will bring your expertise, compassion, and excellence to all we do. This Clinic has 4 OR rooms and OR services consist of General, GYN, urology, podiatry, pain management, plastics, GI, and ENT.

The primary duties of the RN Supervisor of Patient Care include:

* Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations.
* 50% Administrative/50% Clinical
* Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety.
* Under the general direction of the Manager shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff
* Track payroll, chart audits and leave of absences
* Cover breaks, lunches as needed
* Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care.
* Management and development of clinical staff ( approx. 20 direct reports)
* Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s).
* Participates in budget planning and management.
* Takes proactive initiative in quality management.

· Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

· Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
· Must remain in original department/specialty
· Must remain in original Job Title
· Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

*Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications:*

* *Maintains current California RN license.*
* *Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification *
* *All competencies/certifications required of the Charge RN on the unit*
* Associates degree in Nursing froman accredited program.
* Two years applicable clinical OR experience, one of which is in a leadership role
* Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
* Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.

*Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certifications:*

* BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
* 2 or more years of Leadership experience.
