M Health Fairview is searching for a hardworking Registered Nurse who is looking for an exciting career in our Med/Surg Medical unit located at our Edina, Minnesota Campus!

**About this Unit:**
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a medical/surgical unit? If so, then the Med/Surg-Medical Unit may be the right fit for you! This 32-bed unit includes 18 telemetry bed and is known for its superb teamwork, learning environment, and sense of family and camaraderie. The patient population on the Med/Surg-Medical Unit consists of Geriatric, Respiratory, GI, and Detox patients. This unit is widely known for high employee engagement scores, patient and family-centered care, and being a fun and engaging place to work.
7 negative airflow rooms to accommodate respiratory isolation
Primarily provide inpatient care for adult and geriatric medical patients. Most patients have multiple complex health problems in addition to their admitting diagnosis.
Most common diagnoses include: pneumonia, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, CHF, abdominal pain, diabetes with complications, infections caused by resistant and emerging organisms, and renal failure.
**This position is 64 hours per two weeks on the night shifts for 8 hours with every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).** We offer generous benefits including medical, dental, time off and more. Check out the benefit link here:
**Responsibilities Job Description**
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

BLS for Health Care Providers
**Preferred Qualifications**
BSN
Recent within one year med/surg RN experience.
