General job duties and types of procedures required:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team. The staff RN is a professional caregiver who is responsible for designated patients for a specific time frame. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process, the environment, and other health care resources to meet the specialized age-appropriate physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of all ages of patient populations assigned.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:
Omnicell, Meditech, bedside medication verification, basic equipment for medical surgical patient population
Required skills and minimum years of experience:
Education: Associate's Degree (includes RN Diploma) Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: 1 years Required, 2-4 years Preferred
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required:
BLS
Shift or schedule requirements:
12 hour night or day shifts; weekends required
Floating to over units/departments:
May be floated to any nursing department as a support resource under the supervision of a primary nurse.

26 beds
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit:
1:4-6
Dress Code:
Scrubs/uniforms, closed toe shoe, professional presentation, clipped nails
