Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services.

The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic, research and leadership roles.

DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs.

Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.

**Responsibilities**

**Position Title:** **Interventional Radiology Nurse**

**Position Summary:**

Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.

Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient.

Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient.

Demonstrates accountability for own ethical behavior, and supports ethical practice by addressing and/or escalating issues.

Serves as an advocate for patients needs by demonstrating holistic care practices.

Critical Thinking -- Measurement Method 1 - Leadership Observation/Verbal 2 - Skills/Simulation Lab/Demo 3 - Module/Exam 4 - Peer/Preceptor Evaluation 5 - Client Feedback 6 - Chart Review

Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i. e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner.

Utilizes SBAR format tool to notify physicians, and other providers of clinical findings, performs nurse-to-nurse report at the bedside.

Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command.

Partners with others to affect change and generate outcomes through knowledge of the patient or situation.

Delegation -- Measurement Method 1 - Leadership Observation/Verbal 2 - Skills/Simulation Lab/Demo 3 - Module/Exam 4 - Peer/Preceptor Evaluation 5 - Client Feedback 6 - Chart ReviewDelegates tasks based on the needs of the patient, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, and outcome predictability within the scope of skill set and practice.

Participates as a team member by utilizing team skills effectively on a daily basis.

**Qualifications**

**Requirements:**

Knowledge of surgical procedures, critical care (surgical) background, pediatric experience helpful. One (1) year experience in cardiac catheterization. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Basic Computer Skills including MS Office Suites

ADN, Diploma, BSN or Foreign Equivalent

Current AZ State RN License in good standing. Current BLS card. Current ACLS card or within 6 months of hire.

**Pay Range**

$32.50 - $58.90 /hour
