*Department/Unit Summary*

Acute Inpatient Rehab is a 10-bed unit with a 5:1 nurse to patient ratio. We are a closed IPR and have a dedicated Medical Director, Case Manager, and therapy team. We work as an interdisciplinary team with the focus on functional training and education, for patients and families, allowing safe discharge home. Patients receive 3 hours of therapy daily, 5 days a week for 10-14 days, with carryover with the nursing team. We care for a variety of patients that includes, but are not limited to cerebrovascular accidents, amputations, brain injuries, cardiovascular or pulmonary issues, hip or femur factures, major multiple trauma, neurological conditions, total joint replacement, and other medical and debilitating conditions.

*Qualifications and requirements*
Applicants should have a current VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include:

· American Heart Association Basic Life Support

· Minimum two (2) years nursing experience in inpatient hospital setting required, rehabilitation preferred

· Leadership experience preferred
