Assist in the Direction of the L&D, Women's & Nursery Unit's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Organizes and manages the day-to-day and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends, and families. Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in Labor & Delivery, Nursery and/or Post-Partum.
Reports to: Director - Women's Services
*Minimum Education*
Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Required.
Associate's degree in Nursing considered with agreement to obtain BSN within agreed upon timeframe

*Required Skills*
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Computer skills required.

Certifications:
o BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required to be current upon hire.
o ACLS & NRP certification from American Heart Association or ALS from American Red Cross required within 6 months of employment.

*Minimum Work Experience*
2 years clinical nursing experience required in L&D, Women's Services. Management/Leadership experience preferred
