Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse. The Clinical Research Nurse functions as a clinicalinvestigator, sub-investigator, clinical researcher, research nurse,administrator, coordinator, consultant, or educator in clinical trialmanagement. A Clinical Research nurse is involved in one or more aspects ofclinical trials (GCP) research, including data collection, analysis, ormonitoring; case judgment of protocol participants; recruitment and enrollmentof human subjects; preparation of adverse event experience reports; monitoringof case report forms; maintenance of drug accountability records, reportpreparation; education of other health-care professionals, study participantsor families regarding clinical trials, program administration; and researchprogram audit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates clinical research studies conducted by asupervising principle investigator
Monitors activities at clinical study sites to assureadherence to GCP's, SOP's, and study protocols
Ensures compliance with protocol and all regulations,policies, procedures and guidelines during clinical study by training/guiding investigatorsand study coordinators
Maintains a safe environment in accordance with the healthand safety policies
Ensures timely collection of all clinical study documents
Ensures that human resources, equipment, supplies,documentation, and training are in place and effective at each clinical trialsite
Performs clinical set-up and preparation for the studyincluding labeling specimen collection tubes and containers, setting upequipment and documents; and study participant education and preparation
Screens study participants for inclusion in study based onpre-determined criteria, may perform patient care during the research study
Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse or Licensed PracticalNurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse
Minimum of one (1) year experience in research studiespreferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility to work in a start-up environment
Must work independently and in a team environment
Effective time management and the ability to work onseveral projects simultaneously are essential
Demonstrate skills in analyzing and creative problemsolving
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
