**Responsibilities**

**About This Position**

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments annual safety review CPR and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. In addition to these major responsibilities the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

One (1) year of clinical nursing experience

Current, unemcumbered, California Registered Nurse license.

Current BLS certification.

Current ACLS or completion of ACLS course within 6 months of employment.

Current PALS certification or completion of PALS course within 6 months of employment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

2 years or greater recent periop experience as circulating and/or scrubbing RN, or clinical nursing in Tele, CCU or ED.

Experience as RN in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures and urology highly preferred.

BSN

CRNFA, CNOR, ATLS, ONC, CFPN, CPPS, CV-BC, and/or CCRN

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Demonstrates a caring, compassionate attitude toward others. Willingness to train to all Perioperative roles. Demonstrates ability to delegate appropriate patient care tasks, duties, etc. to other people. Ability and willingness to actively participate in unit leadership teams, task forces and committees. Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Demonstrates clear, effective written and oral English skills, and objective active listening skills. Reacts calmly and efficiently in emergencies. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all departments. Ability to achieve results for the organization with and through people, utilizing creative and innovative solutions, conflict management problem-solving skills.

**Pay Range**

$46.79 - $69.82 /hour
