**The MVH-Montevideo is seeking to fill nursing positions in order to admit more residents to the home. Be a part of our growing nursing team!**
**The RN Senior- Evening Officer of the Day (OD) provides** clinical assistance and oversight to the nursing staff in the delivery of quality care to the residents of the MN Veterans Home by ensuring continuous operations. The position serves the MN Veterans Home by assisting in the completion of the clinical assessments required by our regulatory agencies and demonstrating best practice clinical standards. This provides the guidelines to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the residents. The RN Senior- Evening OD will provide direction to the nursing staff in the delivery of quality care and ensure that all scheduling and operational needs of the home are met. They will be a resource for nursing staff as well as the person in charge in the building when leadership is not available. Works as a member of the nursing department leadership team providing guidance and direction regarding the delivery of the clinical services.
This position is designed as part-time and primarily evening shift. **The work schedule will include at least 64 hours per 2-week pay period** and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. The position is initially eligible for full employer contribution towards health and dental insurance benefits.
**Minimum Qualifications**

Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License with no restrictions
Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing facility with primary responsibility for coordinating and assessing plan of care
Experience with clinical documentation and writing investigative reports
Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to skilled nursing and state survey
Effective communication skills
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
**Preferred Qualifications**
Experience using technology, equipment, devices, and/or other facilitation tools related to nursing education/training
Three (3) or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing facility with primary responsibility for coordinating and assessing plan of care
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Nursing or related degree program
Experience leading or supervising nursing staff
**Additional Requirements**
A Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) background check will be conducted on finalists for this position. Finalists must pass the DHS background check.
A Tuberculosis (Mantoux) screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment.
