**Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Telemetry - Full Time Days**

**Work location** : Texas Health Plano: 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093
**Work hours** : Full Time Days (7a-7p) rotating weekends/holidays
**Surgical Telemetry Department highlights:**
· Supports work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
· RN's care for patients undergoing general medical surgery, surgical telemetry and post-op coronary bypass who come to this unit after their recovery period in ICU.
· The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
**What you will need:**
· Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma
· BSN preferred
· RN (required)
· CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
· 1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
· 2 years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And
· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And
· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
**What you will do:**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* assesses the patient
* plans the care of the patient
* intervenes as appropriate
* evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers

**Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano** is a 386- bed, Magnet - designated hospital and recognized clinical leader that features a full range of specialties including emergency medicine, cardiology, adult and adolescent behavioral health, pediatrics, an adult Intensive care unit, state of the art and technologically advanced surgical services and a Level III NICU.
