**RN PRN III - Intermediate Cardiac**

**Work location:** Texas Health Denton 3000 N I-35 Denton, TX 76201

**Work hours:** PRN III, Nights, Six (6) shifts per six (6) week schedule; holiday and weekend requirement

Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet® designated hospital.

**Here's What You Need**

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN is preferred. (CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required.)

Current RN licensure required upon hire.

One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.

Two to three years of Intermediate Cardiac / Cardiac RN experience is preferred.

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire and prior to providing independent patient care and must be maintained quarterly.

ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within 90 days of hire.

**What You Will Do**

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
