-Fast-paced, high volume Orthopedic department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?-

**Work location:** Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth TX 76104

**Work hours:** Full Time Nights (7P-7A) Rotating Weekend and holiday requirements

**Department highlights:**

· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth

· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

· 36 bed Orthopedic Trauma/ Joint Replacement Unit in the brand new Justin Tower- Care for patients with joint replacements but may include ortho procedures with a variety of concurrent medical issues such as CHF, COPD, asthma, diabetes, renal failure. This is the dept where the most effective improvements of patients are seen.

· Work along side several top 100 Nurse recipients

**Here's What You Need**

· Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required

· BSN preferred

· One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

· Current BLS (required) -prior to providing independent patient care.

· CPI training within 90 days of hire (required)

· 1+ years of Med/surg or Orthopedic RN experience in acute care setting (preferred)

· Strong med/surg experience including charge/preceptor skills (preferred)

· ONC - Orthopedic Nurse Certified within 2 years (preferred)

· NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 6 Months Required

· NICHE - Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders within 12 Months(preferred)

**What You Will Do**

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
