-Our close-knit rural hospital cares for people in our local community. Our Med surg department is looking for top skilled nurses to be part of our team and make a difference in the lives of the community we serve. Is that you?-

**Work location:** Texas Health Stephenville,411 Belknap, Stephenville , TX 76401

**Work hours:** PRN Night Shift 7P-7A- PRN II requires a minimum of 3 shifts per 6 week scheduled with at least 1 weekend shift.

· Our Med/surg unit is a cohesive team environment with nurses who improve the quality of care for General Medical and Surgical patients with the following illnesses: pneumonia, diabetes, cardiac chest pains, general surgery, appendectomy, bowel surgeries, ortho, hips and knees .

**Here's What You Need**

· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma required.

· BSN preferred.

· One year experience as a registered nurse in acute care setting required.

· 2+ years of RN med/surg experience in acute care setting preferred.

· BLS prior to providing independent patient care required.

· CMSRN preferred.

· ACLS preferred.

**What You Will Do**

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
