Required Certifications and Licenses:

Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement

BLS certification through American Heart Association

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Scheduling Requirements:

Seeking RN with endoscopy experience,

Must be able to work in pre, post, intra and clean scopes,

Procedures performed on unit include: EGD, Colon, ERCP, EUS with FNA/FNB, Peg tube, pH Bravo, Pillcam, Manometry, stent placements, Spy glass, Axios,

Shift: 7:30am-3:30pm

On call is mandatory: weekdays 5pm-7am and weekends/major holidays 7a-7a

Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse (RN) organize and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
