**Registered Nurse (RN) Mid Shift - Emergency Department (ED) Unit for Texas Health Denton**
-Fast-paced, high volume ED department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?-
**Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201**
**Work hours:** Full-time Mid Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 2:00 pm - 2:00 am
**ED Department highlights:**
Patients withcritical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of our 41 Emergent Care Rooms. Next stop trauma designation!
Our emergency care nurses, paramedics, employees, and physicians on the medical staff receive continual training in the use of specialized lifesaving equipment and techniques.

**Here's What You Need**
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
Current RN licensure upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS - within 90 days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
2-3 year ER experience preferred.
ENPC - Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course - 12 months required
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - 12 months required
PALS - within 90 days of hire
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
