Accountabilities:
This is a Practice Clinical Supervisor position which is clinically focused and will need a Registered Nurse to fulfill:
Initial training under the senior RN to learn office RN procedures, workflows (we can itemize/describe)
Perform office-based RN responsibilities in addition to supervisory roles
Reporting:
Clinical reporting to the managing physician
Administrative reporting to the practice manager
Work collaboratively with individual office supervisors to assure appropriate staffing with clinical team members to provide patient care and safety along with the physician staff
RN educator:
Work with the RN staff to identify education needs for the clinical team
Provide education to team members (CMAs, techs) in collaboration with the RNs in the individual offices
Provide patient education in collaboration with the RNs in the individual offices
Standardize educational protocols
Create or standardize already existing patient safety protocols for all offices (i. e. - mock codes)
Assist in coordinating huddles with the RNs/CMAs in the individual offices
Provide leadership, guidance and supervision of the clinical staff to ensure the provision of safe, quality care in a productive manner
Participates in interviewing, hiring and orientation of new clinical staff
Can operate clinical equipment and perform the same duties as the clinical staff including phlebotomy
Experience with cardiology strongly preferred
Standardize processes for following AMG/AHS policies and procedures - i. e.- monitoring equipment on code cart, medication samples, emergency medications, etc.
Travel required to all practice locations to achieve goals
Required:
BSN or Valid RN NJ License
Preferred:
5+ years of Cardiology experience/background
Supervisory experience preferred
