Morristown Medical Center is seeking a per diem RN to work in our Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology department.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Provide care to pediatric patients pre- and post-procedure.
Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families. Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
BSN required
Minimum Experience:
Experience with PIV insertion, monitoring and administering IV infusions to pediatric and adult patients preferred
3-4 years experience in acute care preferred
5 years of Pediatrics and Oncology experience preferred
License/Certification:
Valid RN New Jersey Nursing License
BLS required
PALS and ACLS certification required
Pediatrics or OCN preferred
