**$10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine** **UW Medical Center - Northwest** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse** to join our Medical Telemetry Unit.
**ABOUT OUR MEDICAL TELEMETRY UNIT**
We are a general medical unit with a full cardiac telemetry and rehabilitation program
We offer 36 beds for patients
We consistently hold 1:4 and 1:5 nurse to patient ratios
Our RNs work in close partnership with our physicians and our certified nursing assistants
We are proud to offer a breadth of training opportunities for our staff, including stroke training and advanced EKG trainingWe welcome new and experienced RNs to join our team. Training will be provided to nurses who are transitioning into telemetry care for the first time. **WORK SCHEDULE**
36 hours per week
3x12 shift schedule
This position can work a mix of day shifts and night shifts. Additional details will be provided in the interview. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
Provide evidence-based nursing services to an acutely ill patient population, including post-stroke patients
Monitor heart rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
Identify care needs
Assess and manage pain
Provide personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
Active BLS
