**Job Description:**
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
**About Intermountain Endoscopy:**
Intermountain Medical Center Endoscopy is a 10-room procedural department segmented into an inpatient space (2 beds), outpatient space (7 beds) and an Endo OR suite. Procedures that will be seen within our department include Endoscopies, Colonoscopies, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopies, EBUS, and Trach Pegs.
Our nurses have a daily assignment where they have the opportunity to work in admit, intra-procedure, recovery, inpatient, the Endo OR, or completing pre-admission testing phone calls. We offer the potential for further training in motility/pH impedance studies or cross-training in technician duties.

**Schedule Details:**
We offer 4-10 hour shifts per week and our patient care hours are Monday through Friday primarily from 6:45AM to 6:00PM.

**-Call Requirement:-** We have a 48-hour call requirement 6-8 weekends per year, and a 24-hour holiday call requirement twice per year. This is scheduled a year in advance and there is always opportunity for more shifts if desired. Our department has a night-call team that covers Sunday-Thursday nights negating our responsibility for those shifts.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Current RN License in state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
RNs with less than 12 months of working experience as an RN prior to joining Intermountain must obtain their BSN within five years of their start date.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified

**Physical Requirements:**
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

xpected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).
