Job Description:Are you an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a passion for pediatric care? We have a full-time opportunity in Maryville, TN, to provide specialized care for a 10-year-old male patient. This role focuses on managing seizures and G-tube care, ensuring the patient receives the highest level of attention and support during the week.

Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Patient Details:
Age:10-year-old male
Care Needs:Seizure management, G-tube care
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care, focusing on seizure management and G-tube maintenance.
Monitor the patient's condition closely and respond promptly to any changes in health status.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and the patient's family to implement and adjust the care plan as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of the patient's care, ensuring all healthcare protocols are followed.
Requirements:
Current LPN license in Tennessee.
Experience with seizure management and G-tube care preferred.
CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children and their families.
Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a home setting.

Responsibilities
Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
Provide patient and family teaching according to plan outlined by the RN
Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
Monitor and record intake and output. Report significant changes immediately
Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and reports any changes
Administer medications as instructed and as ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN and document the patient's file accordingly
Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary patient case conferences, staff meetings and in-service education programs as assigned
Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN license in good standing
Previous private duty, home health, hospice, hospital or skilled nursing experience preferred
Active CPR certification
Familiarity with electronic health records
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
