LPN for Pediatric Care - Weekdays in Hixson, TN
Job Description:Join our team to provide dedicated care for a young pediatric patient in Hixson, TN. This full-time role involves managing medical needs with a schedule that aligns with school hours and home care.
Key Details:
Patient Type:Pediatric
Schedule:Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location:Care begins and ends in the patient's home in Hixson, TN
School Support:Staff will accompany the patient to a local middle school from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and compassionate care in both the home and school settings
Manage specific medical needs and ensure proper nutrition and hydration
Collaborate with school staff to support the patient's daily activities

Qualifications:
Active LPN license in Tennessee
Experience with pediatric patients and specific medical needs preferred
Reliable and caring, with a passion for working with children

Responsibilities
- Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice- Provide patient and family education according to plan as outlined by the RN- Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations- Monitor and record intake and output, and report significant changes immediately- Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and report any changes- Administer medications as instructed and ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN- Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service education programs, as assigned
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in good standing- Previous home health, private duty, skilled nursing or hospital experience preferred- Ability to build rapport with patients and family members- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills- Reliable transportation or valid driver's license with current automobile insurance
