The Wound-Ostomy Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, developing, evaluating, ensuring the efficient operation, and directing the daily functions, of wound/ostomy care. In this role you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other appropriate hospital staff and directs the care of patients with wounds and ostomies. In addition, they will assists in attaining and/or maintaining appropriate certification(s) and ensures that all relevant data collection and use of data within the Hospital's Program is conducted in accordance with professional ethics. The Coordinator also develops appropriate policies, procedures, orientation, continuing education, new graduate programs and competencies related to wounds and ostomies and assist the Hospital with enforcement thereof. Additionally, the Coordinator performs other duties as directed or appropriate in support of the Hospital which may include the supervision of other employees.
Qualifications
We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
Current California RN license required
BSN or MSN required
6months of Previous Acute Care RN experience, required
Previous Wound Care experience as a RN, required
BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
