Description
As Oregon Nursing Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our Oregon In-Home Care Nursing Program. You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated nurses to ensure the delivery of quality, compliant, home care nursing services, by our team of unskilled caregivers who act under the instruction, training and licenses of your team. Your leadership will ensure that the nursing program is appropriately staffed to align with the growth needs of the branches and that your team acts consistently and in accordance with the FRHC Nursing Program, across the state.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of home care nurses (RNs and LPNs), including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive and collaborative nursing team culture that encourages professional growth and development while supporting one another.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration, promoting transparency and open dialogue between the nurses and their branch staff. Encouraging a team-like culture between the nurses and the branch.
Meet regularly with Oregon Branch Managers to ensure that the nursing needs for their branch are being met, and work with them to develop a plan for supporting their individual branch growth goals as it pertains to nursing clients.
Client Care and Coordination:
Implement consistency of standards across the FRHC Nursing Program with regards to acceptance of clients onto nursing services, completeness of appropriate records and documentation, development, and implementation of individualized care plans.
Monitor the quality of work provided by the nursing team, including the development of individualized care plans, oversight of the caregivers who are providing services, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
Address escalated nursing concerns, needs, and emergencies promptly and effectively.
Provide back-up support, in the event that a nurse in on PTO, LOA or we are down a nurse, or reallocate nursing resources in order to minimize any disruption to client care.
Oversee Caregiver Training & Oversight:
Train Nursing team to teach unskilled Oregon Caregivers how to safely provide nursing services in a home care setting following the Oregon Medication Training requirements.
Conduct periodic monitoring of caregiver documentation and provide feedback to the nurses and/or branch staff when caregivers need coaching or corrective action.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations related to Oregon In-Home Care and ensure compliance across all aspects of the Oregon In-Home Care Nursing Program.
Implement FRHC policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and promote patient safety.
Participate in all State Compliance Surveys.
Resource Management:
Manage the allocation of resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Collaborate with relevant departments to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of Oregon's FRHC home care nursing services.
Analyze data and metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Collaborate with Operations Leadership to seek out ways to improve the nursing program in order to better serve our branch to increase capacity in our nursing program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Active OR state nursing license.
Proven experience in nursing leadership and management
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using healthcare software and technology for documentation and communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing, health care administration or related field
Experience in Home Care Services
Working conditions:
The Nurse Manager will spend 85% of their time in an office environment indoors. This will require time both spent at a computer station for office work and standing. The additional 15% of their time will be in various client homes performing observations.
This position will require regular travel to all Oregon branches, it's expected travel from home location will be approximately 50% of the time.
This position will have administrative supervision.
